Using Scale to Annotate at IM
Scale...it's waaaay down near the bottom of the optional annotate attributes. The default setting is 1.0,1.0.
Here is our before image on a 500x200 tag: Here is the font we are going to use ~I think Fairy Dust is quite appropriate, don't you?~
http://www.mslauralou.net/TTF/FairyDust.ttf

On a normal day I'd tell you to
Annotate NW+107+110,
Fill Color #d67b39,
point size 70,
trim under transform and you'd have this result:

Now, keeping everything except placement (change to NW +110+160), scroll down to Scale and change the second number to 3.0, click on the Annotate button then Click on the Transform tab, make sure the radio button is on trim, click on the transform button, and this is the result...perfect for this type of tall slender image:

Now, go back and change the first number under scale to 3.0 and the second one to 1.0 and...oops
We have a problem...can't see my whole name, so have to change the point size to 55...I had already changed placement to NW+84+180

Play around with those numbers under Scale...Sometimes you don't need a larger point size, you just need to change the scale :))
You don't have to use whole numbers...that's why the .0 is there...try 0.33 to make a font narrower, or very short. The only limit is your imagination.
Remember, the first number affects the width of your text, and the second number affects the height of your text.
